Emirates has announced the addition of a fifth weekly flight on its Dubai-Antananarivo route, commencing on December 13, 2024, for four weeks. This move aims to cater to the increased demand from holiday travelers during this busy period. The new Friday flight will enhance capacity to over 1,800 seats in each direction weekly.

The airline's recent service launch to Madagascar in September has proven successful, prompting this capacity increase on the Dubai/Seychelles/Antananarivo route. Emirates seeks to meet market demand while offering customers more flexibility and connectivity options.

The additional frequency will operate as EK707 and EK708 in a three-class configuration. Tickets are available through various platforms including emirates.com, Emirates World retail stores, the Emirates App, and travel agencies.

Flights EK707 and EK708 will run with specific local timings from December 13, 2024, until January 10, 2025:

- EK707 (DXB/SEZ) at 13:50

- EK707 (SEZ/TNR) at 17:05

- EK708 (TNR/SEZ) at 22:20

- EK708 (SEZ/DXB) at 04:20 (next day)

The temporary capacity boost utilizes Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a total of 360 seats per flight across First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class.

This expansion improves connectivity between Seychelles and Madagascar with other destinations within Emirates' network such as the UAE, Sri Lanka, France, Europe, UK, China, and the U.S. With diverse communities in Madagascar originating from these regions, the enhanced capacity is expected to accommodate travel demands effectively. Additionally, Seychellois nationals benefit from visa-free travel to Dubai.
