Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is preparing for a busy Thanksgiving travel period from November 21 to December 2, expecting over 2.2 million passengers. The peak travel day is anticipated to be Sunday, November 24.

Doug Webster, Chief Operations and Maintenance Officer at Los Angeles World Airports, stated, "As we enter one of our peak travel periods, LAX is strategically positioned to handle increased passenger volumes across our terminals and ground transportation networks." He noted the addition of eight new nonstop destinations this year by airline partners as part of meeting evolving passenger demands.

The airport has expanded dining options and enhanced guest services to ensure a stress-free experience. Travelers are advised to plan ahead by checking flight statuses before arriving at the airport. Real-time traffic and parking information is available via the automated @FlyLAXstats X feed.

For those picking up passengers, two cell phone waiting lots are open on 96th Street & Alverstone Avenue and 96th Street & Vicksburg Avenue. These areas help reduce traffic around the Central Terminal Area.

Travelers can enroll in TSA Preè or other trusted-traveler programs for a more efficient security checkpoint experience. LAX terminals are connected post-security, allowing ticketed passengers access to all concessions. New dining options include CAVA and Pizza Please in Terminal 3, with a promotion offering 25% off mobile orders through November 30 using promo code LAXTHANKS24.

Business travelers can utilize workspaces with power outlets and free Wi-Fi in most terminals. Entertainment amenities include Gameway arcades in Terminals 3 and 6, showcasing both classic and modern games.

LAX's Art Program features temporary and permanent installations by local artists throughout the airport. The PUPS Program provides therapy dogs that visit passengers awaiting flights for comfort.

Musically-inclined travelers can play Kawai pianos located in Terminal B near gate 201A and Terminal 7 beyond the TSA checkpoint.

Additional resources include flight information on the LAX main site, parking reservations, real-time updates on FlyLAX Stats, dining options, lost-and-found services, virtual assistance through AskLAX, an LAX helpline, and a construction hotline.
