Clear, a company known for its expedited security program, is introducing new technology to enhance the airport experience for travelers. The company's latest innovation, EnVe Pods, will be available at 12 airports starting November 25. These pods utilize face-first biometric technology to verify identities up to five times faster than previous methods.

The introduction of EnVe Pods comes as Clear continues to grow in popularity, with over 20 million members nationwide. "At Clear, we're passionate about helping members win the day of travel from home to gate and back again," said Clear CEO Caryn Seidman Becker. She added that the new technology offers a "5 times faster verification" process for Clear Plus Members.

The airports implementing this new system include Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), and Denver International Airport (DEN), among others. This rollout is part of a broader plan that will see EnVe Pods replace existing systems by 2025.

Clear's initiative aligns with the Transportation Security Administration's expectations for a busy Thanksgiving travel period, where they anticipate screening 18.3 million passengers between November 26 and December 2.

Travelers interested in using Clear can sign up on the same day they pass through participating airports. An annual membership costs $199, though certain credit cards offer reimbursements or discounts on this fee.
