Emirates opens largest retail store in Casablanca

Emirates has launched its largest Emirates World store in Casablanca, Morocco, marking the airline's first introduction of its refreshed travel retail concept to North Africa. The new store, spanning 534 square meters, is located on Franklin Roosevelt Boulevard and aims to enhance customer experience with expert travel advice and smart technologies.

The inauguration was led by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, alongside Adil Al Ghaith, Emirates Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Centre. His Excellency Alasri Aldhaheri, Ambassador UAE to Morocco, was also present at the event.

Adnan Kazim commented on the occasion: “The opening of Emirates World in Casablanca comes just three weeks after the inauguration of our first store in Africa, delivering on our promise to enhance the customer journey across our network of 19 cities on the continent.” He added that their global retail strategy aims to bring their ‘Fly Better’ promise to life through personalized services and efficient technologies.

The store features nine customer service counters offering a range of services from travel planning to ticketing. It also includes a full-size showcase of the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge experience and Premium Economy seat display. Smart technologies like a 'selfie mirror' and self-service kiosks are integrated into the store design.

Emirates has been active in Morocco for over two decades since its first flight in 2002. The airline has flown over 3.65 million passengers between Dubai and Casablanca. In 2022, it established a codeshare partnership with Royal Air Maroc for seamless connectivity within Morocco. This partnership has facilitated travel for over 28,600 passengers in the past year.

Furthermore, Emirates employs over 860 Moroccan nationals as cabin crew members, contributing significantly to local employment opportunities while showcasing Moroccan hospitality globally.
