Alliance Airlines, an Australian carrier, announced on November 28, 2024, the execution of three binding contracts to sell six Embraer E190 regional aircraft and 13 Rolls-Royce engine cores. The company aims to "monetize significant surplus inventory and provide additional high value componentry in a ready for sale condition."

The airline has confirmed two contracts involving the sale of six Embraer E190 aircraft to Scissortail Aviation and Belingger Aviation Assets over the next three months. These airframes were initially part of 30 aircraft included in the Aercap Transaction announced in February 2023.

Bellinger is a private investment management and advisory firm serving wholesale and institutional clients across Australia, Asia, and the United States. Scissortail operates at KRVS in Tulsa, Oklahoma as the official North American dealership and completion center for GoGetAir G750. Deliveries to these firms will commence in December 2024 and conclude by February 2025.

In addition to this, Alliance Airlines has entered into a third contract under which it will sell 13 surplus Rolls-Royce Tay 620/650 engine cores to Airline Technical Support Caribe. Deliveries have already started and are expected to be completed by February 2025. The Tay engines power Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 aircraft, with Roll-Royce having delivered a total of 650 Tay engines for airline operations over more than two decades.

Alliance Airlines was founded in 2002 after rebranding from Flight West Airlines. Based at Brisbane Airport (BNE), it currently operates a fleet of 73 aircraft with an average age of nearly 27 years. This includes Embraer E190ARs (Advanced Range), Fokker 100s, and Fokker 70s. The carrier is awaiting delivery of an additional 25 Embraer E190ARs with commitments extending through mid-2026.

The Advanced Range version of the E190 can carry passengers up to approximately 2,450 nautical miles. The airline's E190ARs accommodate up to 100 passengers across two classes: economy plus and economy class. Commenting on the demand for such jets earlier this year, Alliance Managing Director Scott McMillan stated: "We know there is incredible demand in Australia for the ~100 seat jet aircraft. It is the perfect size aircraft for FIFO, regional and sub-trunk flying."

Alliance Airlines operates flights across more than forty cities within Australia while also providing charter services across New Zealand, Pacific Islands, and Southeast Asia employing over fourteen hundred staff members.
