A woman who managed to fly from New York to Paris without a ticket remains in France. The 57-year-old Russian citizen, who resides in the United States, bypassed security checks at JFK Airport during the Thanksgiving travel rush and boarded a Delta Air Lines flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Upon landing in Paris, she was detained after flight attendants discovered she did not have a seat. She was scheduled for deportation back to the U.S. on a return Delta flight but caused a disturbance and was removed from the aircraft. French authorities are handling her case.
The TSA confirmed that the woman was screened thoroughly and posed no threat to the aircraft. Delta Air Lines has been contacted for further comments.
