Chase is set to unveil its newest Sapphire Lounge at San Diego International Airport (SAN) on Friday, marking the bank's seventh domestic location and its first lounge at SAN. The lounge, located in Terminal 2 West between gates 46 and 47, offers travelers a new space for relaxation and amenities before their flights.

The Sapphire Lounge by The Club network began with its first U.S. location at Boston Logan International Airport in 2023. Since then, Chase has expanded to several major airports, including New York's LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International Airports, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Dulles International Airport, and an international outpost in Hong Kong.

Access to the San Diego lounge remains consistent with other locations. Primary and authorized cardmembers of the Chase Sapphire Reserve can enter free of charge with up to two guests when they have the Priority Pass associated with their card. Additional guests are charged $27 each. Holders of the J.P. Morgan Reserve card or Ritz-Carlton Credit Card enjoy similar access privileges.

Travelers without these specific cards may still visit once per calendar year using a Priority Pass membership from another premium credit card but will need to pay $75 per person for additional entries.

The lounge design incorporates local elements such as a surfboard-lined mural that adds a touch of San Diego flair. It features various seating areas including dining tables, a bar area, productivity pods for work, and relaxation rooms equipped with couches and recliners.

Amenities include a wellness area with private relaxation pods offering digital meditations by Devi Brown, a small facial bar with treatments from Face Haus, family room facilities for younger travelers, and a shower available on a first-come basis.

Dining options are robust; starting with breakfast until 11 a.m., followed by all-day fare featuring dishes like French crepes and hamburgers. Specialty items created in partnership with San Diego's Oscar's Mexican Seafood are also available alongside standard offerings like the Sapphire Burger.

Chase continues to expand its presence in airport lounges as it aims to attract more travelers to its premium credit cards. The addition of the San Diego location reflects this strategy while providing travelers with an enhanced experience reflective of Southern California's culture.
