Qantas has introduced festive liveries on two of its aircraft, a Boeing 737 and a QantasLink Q400 Dash-8, along with new inflight and lounge menus. The Dash-8 is named "Dasher-8," while the 737 will operate as "Roo-dolph." Passengers flying on these aircraft this month will earn double points.

The Australian airline has embraced the holiday season with liveries featuring Santa Claus and gifts. A Qantas Freight A321 will also receive a 'Santa’s Freight' livery soon, tasked with delivering presents during Christmas.

Qantas Frequent Flyers can enjoy double points when flying on Dasher-8 (registration: VH-QON) or Roo-dolph (registration: VH-VZX) this month. Catriona Larritt, Qantas Group Chief Customer and Digital Officer, stated, "We know our customers, especially the youngest ones, love flying on our special festive aircraft and so we are delighted they are making a return in 2024."

In addition to themed installations and pop-ups planned for the next month, Qantas promises some "surprise and delight gifting" for its customers.

The airline has launched new festive menus across its network. This includes international first and business class inflight menus, a new First lounge menu, independent beers, and cocktails onboard and in lounges. Neil Perry, Qantas Creative Director of Food, Beverage and Service, designed these menus using ingredients from premium Australian companies like Margra Lamb and Glacier 51 Toothfish.

First Class passengers can enjoy dishes such as an Australian tasting plate or seared Glacier 51 toothfish. Business Class offerings include vegetable rendang or braised Margra lamb shoulder. In the First Lounge, options like a breakfast salad or buffalo mozzarella salad are available.

All lounges feature the Qantas Signature Christmas Cocktail alongside festive treats like roast turkey rolls and gingerbread. As Christmas approaches, traditional fare will be served in domestic and international lounges along with signature cocktails like the Bloody Mary mixture or Qantas Aviation Spritz.

City lounges will offer local independent beers including Straddie Amity Pale Ale in Brisbane and Hawke’s lager in Sydney.
