EVA Air has introduced a new addition to its fleet, the Airbus A321-200 known as "Pinky Jet," adorned with a pink Hello Kitty livery. This special-liveried aircraft is part of EVA Air's series of jets featuring Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters.

The A321, registered as B-16217, first flew in April 2015 and was delivered to EVA Air in May of that year. As of August 2024, it has completed 17,001 flight hours over 8,820 cycles. The narrowbody aircraft offers 184 seats and stands out as the only one among the airline's A321s to feature a special Hello Kitty design.

According to Flightradar24 data, the plane was grounded from November 11 until December 3, during which time it received its new livery. Its inaugural flight with the updated appearance took place on December 4 from Taipei to Sendai, Japan—a journey lasting two and a half hours. Since then, it has completed five more flights between these locations.
