Long-haul airline Norse Atlantic is adjusting its route network by reallocating some of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners to increase flight frequencies on certain routes next summer. This change comes at the cost of its seasonal Oslo to Los Angeles service, which will not return in 2025.

The decision to discontinue the Oslo-Los Angeles route was first noted by Ishrion Aviation. Although Cirium data indicates a planned resumption on May 23, 2025, flights are no longer bookable on Norse's website. The aircraft previously assigned to this route will be used elsewhere within the airline's network.

Norse Atlantic plans to enhance its Athens (ATH) to New York JFK service, which is also a summer seasonal operation initially scheduled for May 15, 2025. According to Cirium's latest scheduling data, the route will now start earlier on May 6 and continue until October 25. The frequency has increased from an originally planned schedule of 14 flights in May to 22 flights.

Another service set for expansion is the Los Angeles-Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) link, beginning on May 22, 2025. This route will have six weekly frequencies with flights operated by a Boeing 787-9 through September 27th.

These changes come amid other recent announcements from Norse Atlantic regarding additional flights between Miami and Berlin next year. A third weekly flight will be added between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Miami International Airport (MIA), operating from March 5 through April 25, 2025.

Additionally, Norse Atlantic is planning new connections starting next winter between Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), with twice-weekly flights commencing on October 29.

In November 2024, Norse Atlantic reported its highest-ever load factor at 92%, up from the previous year's figure of 61%. The airline operated a total of 352 flights last month with an increase in passenger numbers by approximately double compared to November last year. ACMI/charter services also saw growth with notable operations including a charter flight to Antarctica. Flight punctuality improved as well, with no cancellations recorded last month.
