Avianca held its annual press conference to review the past year and outline goals for 2025. During the event, the airline announced plans to increase its Bogotá to Paris flights from five times a week to daily. The route has performed better than expected since it began on July 3, initially with three weekly services, which were increased to five by mid-July and became daily in late October.
Frederico Pedreira, Avianca Group CEO, stated: "Paris is moving to daily as of right now. As I was saying, Paris has been performing better than expected. We are seeing a lot of demand on both sides." He added that the schedule complements Air France's services on the same route.
The airline also discussed its Bogotá-Chicago route launched in late October with daily Airbus A320 flights. Pedreira commented: "Chicago is another route that has been performing better than expected."
