On September 14, over 100 volunteers from Delta and the local community collaborated to construct Delta's 41st playground, marking the second one in the Boston area. This project was a partnership with the Revere Housing Authority to provide a play space for children in Revere.

In July, children residing in the Revere Housing Authority took part in Design Day. They shared their ideas for an ideal playground with assistance from Delta volunteers and KABOOM! Project Managers. This initiative brought together Delta employees and local residents to create a safe and modern play area for children's development.

The event saw participation from Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Revere Mayor Patrick M. Keefe, Jr., and members of the Massachusetts Legislature. Lieutenant Governor Driscoll remarked on Delta's role beyond being an economic driver: “Delta has 3,500 employees here, it’s a major hub in Boston and we’re thrilled to have you,” she said, “but the idea that we have Delta here with KABOOM! building a playground says that we’re not just here as an economic driver, we’re here for community benefit.”

The playground was completed within six hours and featured a multi-dimensional structure with slides and swings. Volunteers also installed shade structures, benches, picnic tables, created sidewalk games, and did some gardening. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Tad Hutcheson from Delta presented a $10,000 check to Revere Housing Authority along with Revere City Councilor Robert Haas and Candice Stover of Delta. The funds will support ongoing maintenance of the playground.

Tad Hutcheson expressed Delta's commitment: “Delta’s partnership with KABOOM! reflects our broader commitment to fostering belonging and well-being in the communities we serve,” he stated. “Every child deserves the opportunity to play, and we’re honored to show children we care by bringing their visions to life and creating spaces just for them.”

Delta supports KABOOM!'s mission to eliminate play space inequality by working with communities nationwide. Over nearly 11 years of partnership, Delta volunteers have helped build 41 KABOOM! playgrounds across the country.
