The Embraer E175 leads with 3,145 scheduled departures. This regional jet provides 239,020 seats during one of the busiest months. "American Airlines and Delta Air Lines operate Embraer E175 aircraft from LaGuardia Airport," notes Cirium's report.

The Bombardier CRJ900 follows with 2,466 flights scheduled in December. The plane offers a total of 180,180 seats. Only Delta Air Lines and Air Canada operate this model at LGA.

Next is the Boeing 737-800 with 1,626 departures providing the highest seat count at 273,480 among listed aircraft types. American Airlines has the most flights using this model out of LGA.

Fourth on the list is the Airbus A321 with 1,112 flights offering a total of 214,066 seats. The A321 typically accommodates up to 244 passengers depending on configuration.

Finally, the Airbus A220-100 will have just 694 departures in December. Delta Air Lines operates all A220 flights from LGA.

These statistics underline LaGuardia's role as a significant player in domestic aviation traffic within the United States.
