KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has completed the installation of its Premium Comfort Class on all Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft. The airline has been integrating premium economy seating into its widebody fleet over the past two years. According to KLM's Chief Experience Officer, Barry ter Voert, "Over the past two years, colleagues have worked very hard to make the addition of this new class possible."

Passengers now have a choice beyond World Business Class and Economy Class when flying with KLM. Ter Voert noted that initial passenger feedback has been positive, highlighting increased comfort and improved meal quality as key benefits.

The Premium Comfort Class offers passengers up to seven more inches of legroom compared to standard economy seating. Depending on the aircraft model, KLM's Premium Comfort cabins range from 21 seats on Boeing 787-9 planes to 28 seats on Boeing 787-10 models. Other features include in-seat power outlets and a dedicated entertainment system.

While enhancing its premium economy offering, KLM also upgraded its World Business Class seats with sliding doors for added privacy and ensured direct aisle access for all business class passengers.

In addition to these cabin upgrades, KLM is expanding its international network. The airline plans to launch three new routes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in 2025: San Diego starting May 8, Georgetown in Guyana from June 4, and Hyderabad in India beginning September 2.

KLM also renewed a codeshare agreement with Winair, allowing seamless connections through Princess Juliana International Airport in Sint Maarten for travelers coming from Amsterdam and other intercontinental destinations.
