Alaska Airlines, headquartered in SeaTac, Washington, serves the Washington D.C. area with multiple daily flights from various major Pacific Coast airports. The airline operates flights to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).

At IAD, Alaska Airlines provides nonstop services from San Diego International Airport (SAN), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). These routes utilize a combination of Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft. "Alaska Airlines' Boeing 737-800 fleet offers seating in First, Premium, and Economy classes," according to SeatGuru.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is served by Alaska Airlines from LAX, Portland International Airport (PDX), SFO, and SEA. The airline's Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft operate on the SEA-DCA route. As per Alaska Airlines, "Equipped with 159 of our newly designed leather Recaro seats, our 737-8 MAX will feature Boeing's award-winning Sky Interior."

Baltimore/Washington International sees multiple daily flights from SEA using the airline's Boeing 737-900 aircraft. This route offers three classes of service with nearly 20,000 round trip seats available in December.

The carrier maintains a young fleet consisting of various models of the Boeing 737 series and Embraer ERJ-175s. It continues to expand its operations by enhancing passenger amenities and promoting its Global Getaways promotion for international destinations.
