Cirrus Aircraft has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of its 600th Vision Jet, a single-engine private jet that has gained popularity since its introduction in 2016. The announcement was made on December 23rd, marking an important achievement for the company and the aviation industry.

Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus, commented on this accomplishment: "We are proud to deliver the 600th Vision Jet. This achievement not only reflects the commitment from our team, owners and stakeholders but also our relentless dedication to advancing the personal aviation industry. The Vision Jet has brought jet ownership to a broader audience by redefining what is possible in terms of safety, performance and ease of operation. As we look to the future, we remain committed to expanding the boundaries of aviation and making flight more accessible for all."

The Vision Jet has become the best-selling jet in general aviation due to its attractive purchase price and impressive performance specifications. It features a low-wing configuration with retractable tricycle landing gear and is constructed entirely from composite materials. Powered by a single Williams FJ33 turbofan engine, it achieves nearly 1,850 pounds of thrust.

The aircraft measures 30 feet eleven inches in length with a wingspan of 38 feet nine inches. It can reach speeds up to 311 knots (358 miles per hour) and has a range of 600 nautical miles (690 miles). Its service ceiling is at 31,000 feet.

Inside, the cabin accommodates up to seven occupants across three rows. Passengers enter through a clamshell door on the left side of the fuselage. The avionics suite includes Garmin G3000 systems with safety features like Garmin Emergency Autoland System and Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).

Development of the Vision Jet began in the early 2000s by Cirrus founders Klapmeier brothers at their Duluth facility. Despite financial challenges during development, including those during the Great Recession, certification was achieved in October 2016 after new investment support.
