London Heathrow Airport, one of the world's busiest, serves as a hub for long-haul flights across six continents. In January 2025, six routes stand out as the longest non-stop flights departing from this major international gateway.

The sixth-longest route connects London Heathrow (LHR) with Taipei (TPE), covering 6,090 miles. China Airlines operates 18 flights each way in January using its Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The eastbound journey takes approximately 13 hours.

Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) ranks fifth on the list at 6,356 miles. Vietnam Airlines flies this route 13 times in each direction during January with its Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline also offers connections to Hanoi from London Heathrow.

The fourth-longest flight goes to Kuala Lumpur (KUL), spanning 6,593 miles. Malaysia Airlines provides a double-daily service throughout January using Airbus A350-900s. British Airways is set to resume competition on this route in April 2025 with its Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Singapore (SIN) is third at 6,764 miles, served by seven daily flights operated by British Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Qantas. The airlines use a mix of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for these services.

Santiago de Chile (SCL) holds the second spot with a distance of 7,227 miles. British Airways operates this route exclusively in January using Boeing 787-9s.

The longest non-stop route from London Heathrow is to Perth (PER), stretching over 8,988 miles. Qantas launched this service in March 2018 and continues with daily flights aboard its Boeing 787-9s.

London Heathrow's global reach includes these long-distance connections and many others across all inhabited continents. It remains an essential hub for international travel.
