Virgin Atlantic is maintaining a strong presence in the transatlantic market this January, operating 579 direct flights to 11 destinations in the United States from its bases at London Heathrow and Manchester. This accounts for an average of 19 daily flights between the UK and US, second only to British Airways.
The airline's fleet includes Airbus A330-300s, A330-900s, A350-1000s, and Boeing 787-9s. The routes from London Heathrow account for 88% of Virgin Atlantic’s US flights this month, with New York JFK being the largest destination. Other significant routes include Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Boston, Washington DC, and Seattle.
In addition to its operations from London Heathrow, Virgin Atlantic also flies from Manchester to three US destinations: Orlando, Atlanta, and New York JFK. The airline plans to resume its seasonal service from Manchester to Las Vegas in March.
