Boeing has announced the appointment of Dana Deasy as its new chief information digital officer and senior vice president for Information Technology & Data Analytics. Deasy's election to the role became effective on December 31, 2024. He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology, information security, and data analytics at Boeing. In his new position, Deasy will report directly to Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg and will serve on the company's Executive Council.

Ortberg expressed confidence in Deasy's capabilities, stating, "Dana is a well-respected, global technology leader who has a track record of delivering on innovative technologies across large and complex organizations." Ortberg highlighted the importance of staying vigilant against cyber threats and integrating emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. He noted that the IT team would play a crucial role in achieving safety and quality goals while ensuring reliable service for customers.

Deasy joins Boeing with over four decades of experience in technology and leadership roles across various industries. His most recent position was as chief information officer at the U.S. Department of Defense. Prior to that, he held similar roles at JPMorganChase, BP, and General Motors. His career began in information management at Rockwell's Space Systems Division.
