Delta Air Lines has announced plans to enhance its inflight entertainment systems by introducing Bluetooth connectivity on more aircraft, starting in 2026. The initiative was revealed during a keynote presentation at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.

The Atlanta-based airline will allow passengers to pair wireless listening devices, such as Apple AirPods, with the seatback screens on select new aircraft. Delta's Chief Executive Officer Ed Bastian stated, "Whether through fast, free Wi-Fi, our industry-leading seatback screens or any of the other personalized channels in Delta's digital ecosystem, we're committed to creating a seamless and enriching experience for our SkyMiles Members."

Currently, Bluetooth pairing is available only in the first-class cabins of Delta's Airbus A321neo jets. The expansion will include future deliveries of Airbus A350-1000 jets and A321neos beginning mid-2026. There are also plans for the yet-to-be-certified Boeing 737 MAX 10.

In addition to hardware improvements, Delta has partnered with YouTube to provide ad-free streaming services via their new 4K HDR QLED seatback screens. These updates are part of what Delta calls a "theater-like viewing experience" that includes features like a "Do Not Disturb" function and translation services.

Furthermore, Delta announced a collaboration with Uber allowing SkyMiles members to earn miles on eligible rides and deliveries starting this spring. Customers can earn up to three miles per dollar spent on specific Uber services.

Delta also introduced an AI tool called Delta Concierge within its Fly Delta mobile app. This feature aims to provide travelers with personalized guidance throughout their journey.

These advancements coincide with the airline's celebration of its centennial anniversary and demonstrate its commitment to enhancing passenger experiences both technologically and operationally.
