Cathay Pacific has announced a new partnership with the Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Yat Tung Heen, based in Eaton HK, to enhance its inflight dining for Premium Economy and Economy class passengers. This collaboration aims to provide travelers with a taste of Hong Kong through an exclusive menu crafted by Chef Tam Tung.

Chef Tam Tung has led Yat Tung Heen since 1990, focusing on traditional Cantonese dishes that emphasize natural flavors. The new inflight menu will be available on selected flights departing from Hong Kong starting January 2025, including long-haul and regional destinations such as the Chinese Mainland, Japan, and Thailand.

Vivian Lo, Cathay's General Manager of Customer Experience and Design, expressed excitement about the partnership: "Teaming up with Yat Tung Heen...allows us to transform our inflight dining experience into something even more memorable for our customers." She noted it is Cathay Pacific's first collaboration with a Michelin-starred restaurant for these cabin classes.

Chef Tam shared his enthusiasm: "To see this legacy extend to the skies with an iconic airline such as Cathay Pacific is very exciting."

The Premium Economy menu includes dishes like smoked duck breast with pickled mustard greens and braised beef brisket with chu hou sauce. Meanwhile, Economy class passengers can enjoy options such as marinated cherry tomatoes with preserved plum and sweet and sour pork with fresh pineapple.

Cathay Pacific continues to build on its reputation as a premium full-service airline based in Hong Kong. It is part of the Swire Group and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. More information can be found at www.cathaypacific.com.

Yat Tung Heen has been recognized internationally for its authentic Cantonese cuisine under Chef Tam's leadership. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience inspired by 1920s Shanghai taverns. More details are available at www.yattungheen.com.
