Federal Express Corporation, known as FedEx, has announced the expansion of its FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) service in India. This service now links Indian customers to various destinations across Asia, the Americas, and Europe. FICP is designed for cross-border e-commerce shipments with delivery times ranging from three to four business days.

FedEx's initiative aligns with India's growing e-commerce market, which is expected to reach USD 325 billion by 2030. The sector is predicted to handle nearly 17 billion shipments through third-party logistics over the next seven years. Nitin Navneet Tatiwala, vice president of Marketing and Air Network for MEISA at FedEx, emphasized the importance of "smart, cost-effective solutions that expand reach without compromising speed and flexibility." He added that their focus remains on developing efficient supply chain solutions tailored for India's evolving e-commerce landscape.

The FICP offers several benefits including seamless integration with major e-commerce platforms, enhanced customer control via FedEx Delivery Manager allowing real-time tracking and schedule adjustments, flexible delivery options such as residential or retail location pick-up, weekend and evening deliveries, and additional savings through waivers on certain surcharges.
