Hawaiian Airlines has provided a glimpse into its future premium lounge at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. The facility, set to open by the end of 2027, represents the airline's largest lounge investment to date.

Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines' parent company, revealed plans for this new flagship lounge as part of its strategic plan following its merger with Hawaiian Airlines. Todd Traynor-Cory, Alaska Airlines' vice president of guest products and experience, stated: "We are reimagining the travel experience with spaces that showcase our dedication to guest satisfaction and the unique culture of Hawai'i. Our new Honolulu lounge will be the first-of-its-kind within this space and will offer a modern oasis for our guests to enjoy."

The design draws inspiration from Hawaii's natural elements and features sculptural components, vibrant colors, and reflective lighting aimed at creating a tranquil environment for travelers.

The new lounge will be located at Terminal 1's Mauka Concourse entrance and is expected to be more than five times larger than the current facility in Honolulu. Alisa Onishi, director of brand culture at Hawaiian Airlines, commented: "Our new Honolulu lounge will be a celebration of our guest's voyage, thoughtfully crafted to honor the beauty and warmth of our island home. This space reinforces our commitment to providing an unrivaled travel experience that reflects the purpose and values of our hometown airline."

This development is part of ongoing enhancements across Hawaiian Airlines lounges in Hawaii. Recently, in December 2024, Hawaiian opened another Premier Club at Maui's Kahului Airport—the sixth such club in Hawaii—adding 1,175 square feet for dining and relaxation.

Located near Gate 15 at Kahului Airport (OGG), this Premier Club can accommodate up to 36 guests daily from 09:30 to 15:30. Its design takes cues from Maui’s landscapes with decor inspired by sunsets and forests. Amenities include charging stations, WiFi access, local snacks from Hawaiian Chip Co., Lion Coffee beverages, dedicated customer service agents for guests' convenience.

Hawaiian Airlines continues investing in lounges on neighbor islands with facilities on Oahu, Maui (2), Hawaii Island (2), and Kauai offering various amenities like Pau Hana Snacks, coffee/tea options alongside high-speed internet connectivity.
