Marriott is expanding its presence in Spokane, Washington, with the opening of a new hotel under its Autograph Collection. The Louie at Davenport Hotel will begin welcoming guests in February and offers 48 residential-style rooms. This development is a reimagining of a former property from Davenport Hotels and pays homage to Louie Davenport, the original namesake of the group.

The hotel's design draws inspiration from Louie Davenport's early 19th-century residence during the construction of the original Davenport Hotel, which opened in 1914. Located near The Davenport Hotel, The Louie aims to set a new standard for luxury in Spokane with its contemporary yet classic style. Guests can expect an art gallery-meets-library atmosphere featuring unique antiques and other nods to Davenport's interests.

Melissa Green, vice president and area managing director for Davenport Hotels, stated: "The Louie is a tribute to Louie Davenport's pioneering spirit and vision, which shaped the city's hospitality scene over a century ago. Our new hotel embodies the charm, elegance, and innovation that defined Louis Davenport's legacy."
