The championship game on January 20 will see the Ohio State Buckeyes face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Both teams are seeded eighth and seventh in the CFP rankings.

Ohio State University is located in Columbus, Ohio, with numerous flight options available from John Glenn Columbus International Airport to Atlanta. Conversely, South Bend International Airport in Indiana, home of the University of Notre Dame, offers limited service with only Delta Air Lines providing regular departures to Atlanta.

On January 18 alone, a total of 16 flights will operate from the two major airports in Chicago to Atlanta without counting Frontier's additional itineraries. Other airlines servicing this route include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.

In contrast, Delta Air Lines plans just two flights from South Bend to Atlanta on January 18 via SkyWest Airlines’ CRJ900 aircraft. This schedule repeats on January 19 with an additional flight added on January 20.

Southwest Airlines also announced extra services between Columbus and Atlanta during the championship weekend. According to The Columbus Dispatch, five more direct flights will be offered between these cities along with six return trips post-game on January 21.
