Luxcargo Handling S.A., a subsidiary of Cargolux, has been granted a license for ramp handling at Luxembourg airport. This decision follows a tender process for two ground handling licenses and allows Luxcargo Handling S.A. (LCH) to manage third-party airlines as well. The company will take over Luxair's ramp and warehouse handling operations at Luxembourg’s Findel airport.

Richard Forson, President & CEO of Cargolux, stated, "The takeover of Luxair’s ramp and warehouse handling services by LCH is a great opportunity for Cargolux to strengthen its position in the air cargo industry and to further enhance its service offering to its customers. LCH also looks forward to continuing the relationship Luxair had with other airlines besides Cargolux. We look forward to commencing operations in 2024. Cargolux’ and Luxair’s cargo ramp and warehouse handling teams have been working hand in hand for decades and I am confident that the transition will proceed smoothly."

Cargolux, an all-cargo carrier based in Luxembourg, operates a fleet that includes Boeing 747-8 freighters and Boeing 747-400 freighters. The airline plans to replace its older aircraft with ten new Boeing 777-8F models. With more than 50 years of experience, Cargolux serves over 75 destinations worldwide through scheduled all-cargo flights and offers charter services.
