Dassault's Falcon 10X | https://www.dassault-aviation.com/

The Dassault Falcon 10X, a long-range business jet from French manufacturer Dassault Aviation, is set to redefine the industry with its luxury and advanced technology. Initially expected to be certified this year, its development has been delayed until 2027. Dubbed the 'Penthouse of the skies,' it features a unique interior design.

According to aviation websites, the Falcon 10X will cost around $75 million. Operating costs are estimated by Elite Traveler at $2,000 to $3,000 per hour, while SimplyJet estimates chartering costs at $11,000 per hour. Jet Advisors suggests annual operating costs could reach $1,427,225.

First launched in May 2021 at the Paris Air Show, the Falcon 10X will compete with models like Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 7500. It boasts pioneering safety innovations and is designed for challenging airports like London City Airport. The aircraft's aerodynamics have been refined for stability during long-range flights.

The Falcon 10X is powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X turbofan engines, each producing 18,000 pounds of thrust. These engines are noted for their fuel efficiency and reduced emissions compared to other Rolls-Royce models.

The aircraft's specifications include a length of 33.4 meters and a wingspan of 33.6 meters. Its cabin height is over two meters with a width of nearly three meters. The jet can reach speeds between Mach 0.85 and Mach 0.925 and has a range of up to 7,500 nautical miles.

Inside, the Falcon 10X offers four cabin zones that can accommodate up to nineteen passengers but typically seats eight comfortably in a multi-zone configuration. Its cabin altitude can be maintained at lower levels than typical jets for increased comfort.

Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation stated: “The Falcon 10X will offer an unrivalled passenger experience over both short- and long-duration flights along with breakthrough safety features from Dassault’s frontline fighter technology.”

Technological advancements in the cockpit include the FalconEye Combined Vision System (CVS) and NeXus flight deck with multi-function touchscreens designed to reduce pilot workload.

This new model aims to set high standards in ultra-long-range business aviation markets by combining innovative features with passenger comfort.
