Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines, announced that Uber and Delta are collaborating to offer SkyMiles rewards and enhance the travel experience through a new partnership set to launch this spring. Bastian said that the goal of the collaboration is to "create a connected travel experience from start to finish," as mentioned in a statement on Uber's website on January 8.

According to its website, Uber will become Delta's exclusive rideshare and delivery partner in the United States starting this spring. SkyMiles members will be able to earn rewards on various Uber services, including 1 mile per dollar spent on UberX airport rides and Uber Eats orders over $40, 2 miles per dollar on premium rides like Uber Comfort and Uber Black, and 3 miles per dollar on Uber Reserve trips.

The Daily Mail reports that Delta will end its eight-year loyalty partnership with Lyft on April 7, 2025. SkyMiles members will still be able to earn miles on Lyft rides until that date. This move reflects Delta’s strategy to expand its loyalty program collaborations and enhance customer engagement.
