FedEx has engaged in a community support initiative in the Philippines, with over 800 team members from Federal Express Corporation dedicating more than 1,000 volunteer hours. They collected and donated over 3,600 kilograms of essential supplies to benefit more than 1,650 individuals. The recipients included young children, the elderly, and underserved groups. This effort was conducted in collaboration with over 20 non-profit organizations.

In Olongapo City, Zambales, 31 FedEx volunteers worked with People’s Recovery, Empowerment, and Development Assistance (Preda) Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization that assists exploited and abused children. Donations included mattresses, rice, hygiene kits, and toys for marginalized children and underprivileged communities.

These efforts were part of the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign held from October to December 31, 2024. The campaign encourages FedEx team members to make an impact by supporting NGOs they value in their local communities. Volunteers from various countries including Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam also participated.

FedEx teams across the region formed groups to ensure meaningful contributions were made. They supported children with leukemia and provided educational supplies among other assistance. Essential items such as packaged food and winter clothing were gathered and delivered in purple tote bags symbolizing care.

Kawal Preet, President of FedEx Asia Pacific said: “At FedEx we know that building real connections and making a difference in our communities is at the heart of what we do... It makes me incredibly proud to see our team members step up and support those in need – this reflects the values of ‘teamwork’ and ‘taking care of each other’ that shape who we are.”

Maribeth Espinosa from FedEx Philippines added: “I am inspired to see our team members going above and beyond to support vulnerable children through this collaboration with the Preda Foundation... Together we are helping to build stronger and more resilient communities one act of kindness at a time.”

FedEx Cares promotes charitable giving through employee volunteer efforts worldwide. In FY24 FedEx contributed $55 million globally focusing on Delivering for Good Sustainable Logistics Global Entrepreneurship programs.
