Norse Atlantic Airways has announced a new route connecting Athens, Greece, and Los Angeles, United States. The service will begin on June 3, 2025, with four weekly flights using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This will be the airline's longest route to date, covering 6,928 miles in approximately 13 hours and 30 minutes.

The introduction of this route marks the first direct connection between Athens and any West Coast U.S. destination. "We expect the uptake to be positive as we offer this budget-friendly route," said Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways. He emphasized the airline's mission to make travel accessible and affordable.

Fares for the new service will start at $269 (259 EUR), available in both economy and premium classes. However, meals are not included in the ticket price.

This development follows Norse Atlantic's previous launch of nonstop flights from Athens to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport in May 2024. That service operated until October 26, 2024.

In addition to expanding its transatlantic network, Norse Atlantic is also launching a new direct service between Stockholm and Bangkok next winter. This twice-weekly flight will begin on October 29, 2025. Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of Swedavia, commented on this expansion: "There is great confidence in the Swedish air travel market."

The Stockholm-Bangkok route will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners with a capacity for 338 passengers across two classes: premium economy and economy class. The airline currently operates seven Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners with an average age of 6.6 years.
