Hyatt is set to expand its all-inclusive offerings in the Dominican Republic with the introduction of a new Hyatt Vivid resort. The company announced that this will be the brand's second resort, scheduled to open by the end of 2025.

Following the success of its first location in Mexico, Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana aims to offer a unique experience with "locally inspired itineraries, experiential-driven programming and amenities," as stated by Hyatt. Developed by Anacaona de Inversiones, the resort will focus on "living well" through various amenities such as a spa, gyms, healthy snack bars, and courts for sports like pickleball and tennis. Additional features include a sports bar and a speakeasy-style jazz club.

This new venture also marks a departure from the original Cancun location by including a convention center capable of accommodating up to 1,000 people.

Antonio Fungairino, head of development for Hyatt's Inclusive Collection, expressed enthusiasm about this expansion: "We are pleased to further strengthen the Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio with Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana." He added that this expansion underscores both the Dominican Republic's reputation as a prime destination for high-end hospitality and Hyatt's leadership in the all-inclusive market.

In addition to this project, Hyatt is increasing its presence in the region with several new resorts and hotels. Among these are two anticipated all-inclusive properties: Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa and Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa. Other developments include Secrets Tides Punta Cana and a Hyatt Centric in Santo Domingo.
