The Cessna Citation Latitude, a midsize business jet, has been a popular choice since its production began in 2014. With over 400 units constructed, the aircraft is known for its spacious cabin and ability to accommodate up to nine passengers. It offers a high-speed cruise of 446 knots (514 MPH, 827 km/h), making it suitable for nonstop flights.

According to Compare Private Planes, the list price for a new Cessna Citation Latitude is $22 million. The estimated annual fixed operating costs range from $476,621 to $678,790, while variable operating costs are around $1,817,496. Charter costs are estimated between $4,000 and $5,547 per hour with fuel usage at 210 gallons per hour.

Cessna claims ownership is simplified with support starting at delivery. "We are continuously innovating and enhancing the Citation jets’ design and manufacturing process," said Todd McKee, senior vice president of Integrated Supply Chain at Textron.

The Latitude features a flat floor cabin with six feet of height and provides advanced avionics with Garmin G5000 systems. It offers low cabin altitude and ample baggage space.

Powered by two Honeywell HTF7700L Turbofan engines delivering thrust of 7,665 lb (34.10 kN), the aircraft benefits from fuel efficiency and reduced maintenance time due to the HTF7000 series' reliability.

Operating costs cover various expenses such as maintenance and crew training. Variable expenses account for about three-quarters of total expenditures; these include fuel costs tied directly to flight hours.

Fixed expenses remain consistent regardless of flight hours and include depreciation and insurance premiums. According to Bwifly, insurance includes liability coverage that varies based on aircraft type.

Miscellaneous overheads involve recurrent training for pilots and crew along with navigation chart services essential for safe operation.

Compared to competitors like Bombardier Challenger 350 or Dassault Falcon 2000LXS, the Latitude is more cost-effective in terms of annual budget while maintaining high performance standards.

Hiring professional management companies can optimize maintenance schedules further reducing operational costs through better negotiation on fuel rates or hangar fees.
