Hyatt's lifestyle brand Bunkhouse Hotels introduced Hotel Saint Augustine in Houston's Montrose Museum District. The new property offers 71 rooms and suites, a Gulf Coast-style bistro led by chef Aaron Bludorn, and various amenities including a lobby bar and listening room. Currently, Bunkhouse properties are not part of the World of Hyatt program but are expected to be integrated soon.
In Los Angeles, plans to expand the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City have been approved by the city council. Sun Hill Properties will add an 18-story tower with 395 guest rooms to meet demand ahead of the L.A. Olympic Games in 2028. This expansion aims to enhance accommodation options near Universal Studios Hollywood.
