Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has announced the expansion of its FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) service to South Korea. This international, day-definite e-commerce shipping service is already available in several Asia Pacific markets, including China, Hong Kong SAR, and Japan. The expansion allows Korean e-tailers to access a reliable and cost-effective shipping solution for key destinations in the U.S. and Europe.

The move aligns with FedEx's commitment to support the growth of cross-border e-commerce from Asia to Western markets. The global e-commerce market is expected to grow significantly, from USD 785 billion in 2021 to USD 7.938 trillion by 2030. South Korea is becoming an important player in this sector, driven by the popularity of K-beauty products. According to Statistics Korea, online overseas direct sales reached KRW 419.1 billion in the third quarter of 2024, with cosmetics and fashion-related products leading the way.

With FICP, Korean e-tailers can offer customers an international shipping solution that ensures most shipments are delivered within two to three business days to the U.S. and Europe.

"With FedEx International Connect Plus, we offer Korean businesses a reliable solution that balances speed and cost," said Wonbin Park, managing director of FedEx Korea. "At FedEx, we are committed to providing customers with a comprehensive portfolio of shipping solutions."

FedEx's end-to-end e-commerce solutions facilitate easy order fulfillment for merchants while ensuring convenience for customers receiving deliveries. FICP includes advanced tracking capabilities and flexible delivery options via FedEx Delivery Manager International.
