With Valentine's Day being celebrated worldwide, the aviation sector plays a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery of gifts. Emirates and Swissport are key contributors to these efforts.

Emirates has introduced special offerings for Valentine's Day, extending beyond its flights to include lounge experiences. The airline is providing themed dishes and drinks across its 34 lounges globally. These offerings include heart-shaped salmon tartare and smoked salmon roses in Narita, chocolate-covered strawberries in New York, red macarons with gold leaf in Cape Town, and heart-shaped red velvet cake in Beijing. At its Dubai International Airport hub, first-class passengers can enjoy passionfruit pavlova with Chantilly cream, while business class travelers have options like lemon Valentine's verbena cake.

Onboard, Emirates offers Rosé wine as a welcome drink and gifts of chocolate brownies and mini raspberry ganache tarts for first-class and business-class passengers. Economy class passengers will also receive raspberry chocolate brownies. Additionally, Emirates plans to illuminate cabins with red mood lighting on its Airbus A380s.

Emirates' inflight entertainment system features over 60 romantic comedies and dramas, along with playlists of love songs. Passengers can also benefit from discounts on duty-free products through the EmiratesRED shopping service.

Swissport plays an essential role through its 'Flower Corridor,' transporting flowers from Kenya to Europe. This year, it is handling approximately 250 million flowers at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi. Dirk Goovaerts from Swissport stated: "Our Flower Corridor is an important link in the overall cool supply chain for fresh flowers in Africa and Europe."

Swissport has invested in infrastructure improvements at its facilities to ensure optimal flower transportation conditions. These investments include high-speed vacuum cooling processes and additional loading bridges for pallets and containers.

Overall, both Emirates and Swissport contribute significantly to making Valentine's Day special by facilitating the global exchange of gifts and maintaining high standards of quality throughout their operations.
