Delta Air Lines is operating 238 daily international flights in February, marking its third-best performance for the month on record. The airline serves 77 international airports this month, with plans to increase that number to 95 over the year. According to Cirium Diio data, Delta's February take-offs are only surpassed by those in 2019 and 2020.

This month, Delta operates nearly 200 international routes from 16 U.S. airports. Atlanta leads with more than double the take-offs compared to New York JFK, influenced by shorter-haul services. Minneapolis, Detroit, and Seattle round out the top five.

Delta's top 15 international routes have been identified based on a minimum of 80 take-offs each way. Atlanta to Cancun has become the busiest route, overtaking New York LaGuardia to Toronto due to a reduction in services on the Canadian link.

Two long-haul routes are now among the busiest, doubling since February 2024 when only Detroit to Amsterdam was listed. Atlanta to London Heathrow is also featured as flights increased from double to triple daily service.

The busiest route this February is Atlanta to Cancun with 186 departures each way. On February 14 alone, seven flights were scheduled from Atlanta at various times throughout the day.

Looking back at February 2024 data from the U.S. Department of Transportation reveals that Delta carried approximately 60,400 roundtrip passengers between Atlanta and Cancun, filling about 89% of seats available on this route. This accounted for about eight percent of Delta's international traffic from its main hub in Atlanta. Most passengers connected through Atlanta from other markets such as Raleigh Durham and Indianapolis.
