Pilatus PC-12 | Wikipedia

The Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, known for its reliability and versatility, is widely used in air ambulance operations worldwide. Since its introduction in 1991, over 2,000 units have been produced across four variations. According to the manufacturer, it was the most-flown business aircraft in the United States from August 2023 to July 2024.

Several operators use the PC-12 for medical services due to its capacity and operational range. The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) of Australia operates a fleet that includes 19 PC-12s. These aircraft are used extensively in Australia's Northern Territory and South Australia, configured with two stretcher beds and three seats.

In South Africa, the Red Cross Air Mercy Service (AMS) uses seven PC-12s alongside helicopters to provide nationwide medical services. The aircraft's interior is designed like an intensive care unit, capable of carrying up to three stretcher patients.

Air Methods in the United States uses its fleet of PC-12s for "Bed-to-Bed" medical transport. Their aircraft are equipped with life support systems necessary for patient care during flights.

Kazakhstan-based Dala Air offers air ambulance services with four PC-12s, being the largest operator in Central Asia. The aircraft's capability to operate under various conditions makes it suitable for this region.

Guardian Flight in North Dakota provides essential services using a sub-fleet of PC-12s among other aircraft types. They operate out of nine bases across four states: Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, and North Dakota.

SkyCare Repatriation recently began operations in the UK with a new PC-12 based at London's Biggin Hill Airport. They offer bed-to-bed transfers and can deploy within Europe or arrange longer-range missions if needed.

The Pilatus PC-12 remains a preferred choice for air ambulance operations due to its adaptability and capability to handle both urban and rural environments effectively.
