Indianapolis has gained attention as a travel destination in 2025, highlighted by events such as the April reopening of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, the WNBA All-Star Game in July, and the centennial celebration of the world's largest children's museum. Adding to this appeal is the introduction of a new luxury accommodation option: the InterContinental Indianapolis located downtown.

This development marks a significant moment for Indiana's capital, being its first luxury hotel opening in over two decades. The 170-room InterContinental Indianapolis occupies a meticulously renovated 100-year-old, 11-story building, with $120 million invested into its restoration.

Throughout the hotel, guests will encounter elements that blend historical features with contemporary design. Notable highlights include a three-story chandelier, newly commissioned Indiana-themed art pieces, and public spaces adorned with Italian marble.
