The Airbus A330-900, part of the new A330neo family, has become a popular choice among airlines for its capability to operate on routes up to 7,200 nautical miles. Equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and advanced flight systems, the A330-900 is designed to reduce fuel consumption by 25% compared to previous-generation aircraft. Starlux Airlines currently operates five A330-900s with three more on order, bringing their total planned fleet to eight. Their aircraft are configured in two variants: one with four first-class seats, 26 business-class seats, 36 premium economy seats, and 240 economy seats; the other with 28 business-class seats and 269 economy seats. These cabins feature Gentex electro-dimmable windows and improvements developed by BMW Designworks.
Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras has seven A330-900s in inventory out of a planned fleet of fourteen. Their configuration includes 34 business class seats arranged in a staggered layout that convert into fully flat beds, alongside Economy Xtra and economy class configurations.
