On February 28, Delta Air Lines announced the addition of two more long-haul routes from its Atlanta hub: Accra and Marrakech. These African cities join two European routes introduced this year: Brussels (returning) and Naples (new). The SkyTeam member plans to serve 24 destinations across Europe, Africa, and Asia from Atlanta this year, although this is not a record.

Delta will resume flights between Atlanta and Accra on December 1, a route last served between 2010 and 2012. Previously operated four times weekly on the Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 767-300ER, it will now run daily on the 281- seat A330-900. This marks the longest route from Ghana's capital.

For the first time since 2012, Accra will have three U.S. routes with Delta's link joining flights from New York JFK and United Airlines from Washington Dulles. Booking data indicates that the Atlanta-Accra market has about 20,000 roundtrip passengers annually.

The most significant development is the introduction of an Atlanta-Marrakech route starting October 25, running three times weekly on the 767-400ER. Although there has been no previous service between these cities or any North African country from Atlanta, this change follows United's initiation of a New York JFK-Marrakech service in October2024.

Until June2024 when Air Transat began Montreal flights, Marrakech had no North American passenger operations despite its popularity for tourism and diaspora travel.

Delta's expanded network for2025 includes:
