The Dassault Falcon 8X is a premier long-range business jet designed for those who demand luxury, performance, and cutting-edge technology in private aviation. As a flagship aircraft in Dassault’s Falcon lineup, the 8X boasts an extended range, superior fuel efficiency, and a cabin tailored for ultimate comfort. However, such elite performance comes at a cost. The history and development of the Falcon 8X

The Falcon 8X was officially unveiled in 2014 as Dassault Aviation’s latest entry into the ultra-long-range business jet market. It was developed as an evolution of the highly successful Falcon 7X, featuring increased range, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced fuel efficiency. Building on the foundation of the Falcon 7X, the 8X incorporated a stretched fuselage, increasing its length by approximately 3.5 feet to allow for a more spacious and customizable cabin. It also introduced upgraded Pratt & Whitney PW307D engines which offered better fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower noise levels. The aircraft was designed with Dassault’s signature tri- jet configuration providing better short-runway performance and greater operational flexibility. This configuration also enhances safety by offering an additional engine which can be crucial in long-range operations over remote areas.

The Falcon 8X made its maiden flight on February6 ,2015 ,and after rigorous testing received certification from both European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)and Federal Aviation Administration(FAA)in mid-2016 .The aircraft under- went extensive flight testing accumulating thousands of flight hours under var- ious conditions to ensure reliability efficiency superior performance.By late- -2016 first deliveries had begun marking new chapter in Dassault’s legacy high- -performance business aviation.
