Qatar Airways has announced the launch of an off-airport check-in service in Makkah, designed to provide greater convenience for Hajj and Umrah passengers. The airline made the announcement on February 27 via a post on X, with the service set to commence on March 1.

According to Qatar Airways, this new service will allow passengers to complete check-in procedures, receive boarding passes, and have their baggage collected before arriving at the airport. Developed in collaboration with Saudi Ground Services, the initiative aims to enhance the travel experience for pilgrims.

The check-in facility will be situated at the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, a Fairmont Hotel, providing easy access from the ring road entrance on Level 2. Passengers departing from Jeddah are expected to benefit from reduced wait times at the airport and more streamlined processing.
