Etihad Airways Airbus A350-1000 | Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways has scheduled its first-ever Airbus A350-1000 flights from Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, to Frankfurt, Germany. This marks the first time the A350-1000 will serve the German airport since Etihad began flying the route in 2005.

The addition of the A350-1000 is a temporary measure for October. As reported by AeroRoutes, Etihad Airways added five weekly flights from Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) exclusively for this month.

The airline, which has been operating a double-daily flight from Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt since February, will use a combination of A350-1000, Boeing 787-9, and 787-10 aircraft throughout October. Of the 14 weekly flights, five are expected to be operated by the A350-1000, seven by the 787-9, and two by the 787-10.

The scheduled flight EY121 from Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt will depart at 02:25 local time (UTC +4) and arrive at 6:30 local time (UTC +1). However, data from aviation analytics company Cirium’s Diio Mi airline planning tool suggests that in November, these flights may revert to being operated with Boeing's models, indicating a possible temporary change.

When Etihad Airways began its Abu Dhabi-Frankfurt service in June 2005 using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft on daily flights, it maintained an Airbus-exclusive operation until March \[year missing\].

During those years and beyond until January \[year missing\], various Airbus models like A330-300 and A340 series were used alongside occasional Boeing additions such as weekly return itineraries with Boeing's777 -300ER or sporadic flights with other types . From January \[year missing\] onwards multiple itineraries began incorporating Boeing's model B789 Dreamliner too .

Cirium's Diio Mi data reveals that during and after the pandemic period there was significant reliance on both B789 Dreamliner versions i.e.,B789 &B7810 for daily sometimes more frequent services between AUH & FRA routes respectively .

In October \[year missing\], weekly departures from Abu Dhabi using Etihad's largest member of their fleet family i.e.,AirbusA351XWB(Extra Wide Body)-the longest variant stood peaked highest ever recorded so far around fifty-five times per week according chaviation sources currently having five such planes operational while remaining fifteen yet delivered confirmed latest orders filings made public recently!

During this peak period besides FRA nine other global destinations were scheduled including three major US cities ORD(CHI),ATL(ATL)&JFK(NYC); others being AMS(NLD),DEL(IND),MXP(ITA)&NRT(JPN) among them!
