Bilt members can now use Bilt Rewards Points to book Lyft rides, as announced earlier this week.

To use Bilt points for Lyft rides, users must first link their accounts in the Lyft app by selecting "Add rewards program" under the "Linked accounts" tab. Once added, a "Points" button will appear in the lower right-hand corner of the Lyft app when requesting a ride, allowing payment via points.

The standard redemption rate is 0.7 cents per point, meaning 15,000 points are equivalent to $105. Bilt indicated that there would be promotions and special offers available at better rates.

This development expands the ongoing Bilt-Lyft partnership. Bilt members and Lyft riders who have linked their accounts earn two points per dollar on Lyft rides. Additionally, Bilt Mastercard holders can earn an extra three points per dollar when using their card to pay for Lyft rides.

Cardholders can earn up to 100,000 points annually on rent payments without a transaction fee and three points per dollar spent on dining and two points per dollar spent on travel purchases among other categories. Users need to use the card five times each statement period to earn points.
