Virgin Voyages is taking steps to ensure its loyal customers have fresh experiences on each cruise. The company’s newest ship, Brilliant Lady, set to debut in September, will feature seven new shows aimed at providing varied entertainment options for repeat cruisers.

Since its inception, Virgin Voyages—developed by business mogul Richard Branson—has been an innovator in onboard entertainment. Leveraging the brand’s extensive entertainment connections, it has created groundbreaking shows and parties. However, with a repeat rate of over 60% on many sailings, the company recognized the need for more diverse offerings.

"We''re constantly challenging ourselves to raise the bar by offering more entertainment and never-before-seen experiences," said Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages. "Not only will Brilliant''s entertainment take us to the next level, but it will also answer the areas where we needed to grow. "

The new performances aboard Brilliant Lady include:

- "Red Hot": A musical revue honoring the 50-year legacy of the Virgin brand.

- "Out of Time": A historical journey via Dr. Victoria Vortex''s time machine.

- "Up With a Twist": A supper club-style event featuring vintage music with a modern twist.

- "Murder in the Manor": An immersive theater performance blending mystery and dance.

- "Duets": Soulful duets across generations and genres performed with jazz- infused arrangements.

- "Electric": An electric dance party featuring performers in fluorescent costumes.

- "Disco Reimagined": A contemporary take on a disco party with sequins and acrobatics.

In addition to these new shows, two popular events from other ships will be re- introduced: Scarlet Night—a giant atrium-soiree-turned-pool-party—and "Duel Reality," a modern take on "Romeo and Juliet" featuring acrobatic competitions.

Brilliant Lady was originally set to launch in December 2023 but faced nearly two years of delays. Following its debut, it will offer various cruises ranging from five- to thirteen-night voyages to Bermuda and Canada/New England from New York before relocating to Miami for Caribbean sailings. In early spring of 2026, the ship will move through the Panama Canal from Miami to Los Angeles for California coastal and Mexican Riviera cruises before repositioning to Seattle for a full season of Alaska voyages—the first time a Virgin Voyages ship will sail in this region.

Passengers can expect excellent food comparable to upscale land-based restaurants along with activities such as boy band dance classes, ''80s throwback aerobics sessions, dedicated board game lounges, free ice cream and candy. The onboard atmosphere promotes creative expression stretching from accommodations and decor in public spaces to themed party outfits selected by passengers.
