The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) will host the Fourth Annual Airport Expo and Job Fair on Thursday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UIC Forum, located at 725 W. Roosevelt Road. The event aims to provide job seekers and entrepreneurs with information about contracting and employment opportunities at O’Hare and Midway International Airports.

Mayor Brandon Johnson emphasized the significance of the event by stating, “As one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs, the City of Chicago creates unparalleled opportunities for job seekers and entrepreneurs alike.” He further added, “The Airport Expo and Job Fair is an invaluable event for those looking to advance their careers or grow their businesses at O’Hare and Midway. We encourage all Chicagoans to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with industry leaders and explore the many possibilities available at our world-class airports.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with company representatives who are recruiting for various positions across different experience levels. Some companies may even hire new employees on-site during the expo.

Local entrepreneurs attending the event can explore new contracting opportunities at both airports, meet construction managers involved in developing future projects, and learn about diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives led by the City of Chicago. The expo will also provide insights into certification benefits for small businesses such as Disadvantaged Business-Owned Enterprises (DBEs), Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (VBEs), and Business Enterprises Owned by People with Disabilities (BEPDs).
