Delta Air Lines has announced plans to expand its Hawaiian network for the winter of 2025-2026. The airline will introduce a new nonstop route between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Kona International Airport (KOA), operating daily from December 19, 2025, using a Boeing 767-300ER.

Additionally, Delta will add a second daily flight from Salt Lake City to Kahului Airport (OGG) on Maui. This service is set for the peak winter travel period, running from December 19 to January 5, with both flights utilizing the Boeing 767-300ER.

From its main hub at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), Delta will also increase frequency to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu. The existing service uses an Airbus A330-300 and will be supplemented by a Boeing 767-300ER.

The new schedule for SLC to OGG includes Delta Air Lines flight 623 departing at 11:15 AM and arriving at 3:08 PM, while flight 397 departs at 3:35 PM and arrives at 7:25 PM. For ATL to HNL, flight schedules are as follows: Delta Air Lines flight 837 departs at 9:55 AM and arrives at 3:14 PM; flight 8803 departs at 12:15 PM and arrives at 5:20 PM.

These changes highlight Delta's strategy to focus on premium leisure travel during periods of reduced business demand in transatlantic markets. By reallocating aircraft like the Boeing 767-300ER, Delta aims to offer increased flexibility and connectivity for travelers heading to Hawaii.
