FedEx Corporation has announced the launch of FedEx Easy Returns, a new service designed to simplify the returns process for consumers and merchants. This service will initially be available at approximately 3,000 drop-off locations across the United States, including FedEx Office and Kohl’s stores. Supported by Blue Yonder, the service aims to offer a box- and label-free returns solution.

FedEx Easy Returns is intended to enhance convenience for consumers by allowing them to return items without printing labels or using packaging. For merchants, the service will streamline the returns process by routing items through a reverse logistics facility, which may improve accuracy and speed while potentially reducing waste.

"FedEx is excited to launch the new FedEx Easy Returns solution to help provide a convenient, hassle-free returns solution to even more consumers in 2025," stated Jason Brenner, senior vice president of digital portfolio at FedEx. He highlighted that this new service expands their network of conveniently located drop-off points nationwide.

Tim Robinson, vice president of Returns at Blue Yonder, emphasized the importance of efficient returns as part of customer experience management. "Returns are a critical part of the customer experience and present a significant challenge to retailers," he said. Robinson noted that Blue Yonder's technology would support FedEx in enhancing retail counters and return processing centers across the country.

The introduction of FedEx Easy Returns reflects growing demand for flexible return options and aligns with sustainability goals by potentially reducing packaging waste. The initiative represents an expansion of FedEx's existing portfolio aimed at providing seamless solutions for both retailers and consumers.
