Federal Express Corporation has announced a significant expansion of its self-collection network for inbound shipments in Hong Kong. Through a partnership with Hongkong Post, FedEx now offers over 700 locations where customers and e-shoppers can collect their packages. These include Post Office counters, iPostal Stations, and 7-Eleven convenience stores, all available with no extra charge.
The new arrangement provides increased flexibility for FedEx customers, as there are more than 400 7-Eleven stores, 165 iPostal Stations, and 119 Post Office counters participating in the self-collection service. To use the service, customers can select their preferred pickup location through WhatsApp or the FedEx website. Once a shipment delivery notification is received, recipients can choose their desired location online.
"In today’s evolving environment, the dynamic growth of e-commerce and cross-border trade requires a customer-centric approach to enhance integration between e-tailers and logistics. FedEx has always been dedicated to launching innovative solutions in the logistics industry that address our customers’ evolving needs," notes Anthony Leung, managing director of FedEx Hong Kong and Macau. "We’re pleased to team up with Hongkong Post to expand our self-collection network, strengthening our last-mile delivery capability and providing a better customer experience."
