Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is set to open its first hotel in Japan, taking reservations for the new location in Tokyo. The Fairmont Tokyo will welcome guests starting July 1 and features 217 rooms and suites situated on the 36th to 42nd floors, with the lobby on the 35th floor. This vantage point allows guests to enjoy views of the Tokyo skyline from its relaxation pool, a west-facing sundeck, and an east-facing observation deck with seating and a fireplace.

The hotel is located in the Shibaura district, close to landmarks like Tokyo Tower and Zojoji Temple. "There is truly so much to see and explore, starting with the incredible panoramic views from every windowed corner and terrace," said Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. "In this urban retreat, we have had the opportunity to bring to life a celebratory experience that marries Tokyo's heritage and culture with a sense of innovation and modernity. This is the perfect home for Fairmont."

Rooms will vary in size, from 170 to over 900 square feet, and will feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The interior decor will combine Japanese lightweight sen wood, quartzite stone, and brass accents and will include Fairmont's signature Le Labo bath products.

Guests booking a Fairmont Gold room will enjoy a private check-in area and lounge, offering amenities such as afternoon canapes, evening cocktails, and personalized turndown services. The property will also boast five restaurants and two bars, including a brasserie serving wood-fired pizzas and a lobby lounge that combines French and Japanese cafe influences. A spa and health club, along with a 65-foot indoor infinity pool, will be available on the 35th floor.

Room prices begin at $926 per night during the opening week. As a promotion, Fairmont is offering a hotel credit of 10,000 yen, approximately $66.95, per room for bookings made by July 24, valid for stays from July 1 to September 30.

While this is Fairmont's debut property in Japan, the brand already has a presence in other parts of Asia, including hotels in Singapore, South Korea, and China.
